Isaiah 29:16
You turn things upside down,
as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!
Shall what is formed say to him who formed it,
“He did not make me”?
Can the pot say of the potter,
“He knows nothing”?

So often we try to mold God into who we want him to be. Not knowing and often not caring who He really is, we create a god of our own imagination. We form a god who fits into our belief system that slides comfortably into our back pocket. God is not a malleable concept of our own design. He is real and permanently defined, the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. It is time that we throw away our preconceived ideas and seek who our God really is. Time to put aside the fables and stories and pursue the pure identity of our Creator.

Cuddled up with my Bible, journal, favorite pen, and a pink coffee cup I sit in the backyard in the swing Pastor Jerry gave us before he moved. Nestled under the canopy of giant leaves and blossoms, sitting in the presence of the Father, his love overwhelms me. As I thank him for the beauty of the morning he chooses to amaze and delight me! As the rising sun peaks over the rooftop the grass begins to glisten with the silk of webs. These iridescent ribbons hang also from the trees catching blossoms in midair. A gentle breeze crosses the yard and the curtain of suspended flowers freely sways back and forth. The chatter of birds comes from above me, the hoot of an owl from the neighboring yard. I sat there in His glory for 30 minutes listening to his creation watching his majesty. The sound of a truck in the alley woke me to my responsibilities of the day, the time had come for me to go in and make breakfast. I gathered my things and prepared to go inside when I realized these beautiful webs that blanketed the ground were filled with spiders. With out this realization I could have stayed in that swing for hours instead I ran across the yard, taking as few steps as possible as to reduce the possibility of my feet touching the arachnids. As I entered the house I found another gift from the Father: three beautiful children freshly waken and ready to eat. Thank you God!

Table cloth pulled, plates fly, ketchup on the floor, water hose put down pants, mud covered children, clothes in the wash, renegage red shirt included, baths taken, water covers the floor, deoderant on the walls, multiple hair products on multiple heads, makeup applicators in digestion, bread in the bed, cheese on the floor, juice splattered everywhere, dirty diaper, papers with arrows layed out at each door, blankets strung across livingroom: a stage, laundry piles higher, dishes remain unclean, one two year old asleep, another goes home, 5 yr old and 7yr old playing in their room, sanity may soon be returning.

Justin came over to play today. They have had way to much fun outside! I think I’ll have a water bill to prove it.
