I’ve been struggling witht the entertainment choices as of late. I’ve had a post based on Romans 1:28-32 floating around in my heart mind for about 6 months now. Postponing and procrastinating any writing of merit seems be the practice around here. Well thanks to Susan’s recent entry “That’s just sick!” I can simply link you over there and share my her views on the subject without the dicipline of sitting here and actually writing them myself.

I haven’t spent much time at Susan’s blog, I found her via Blogs4God, this post was my first read. With her Fox News reference it seems we may have some things in common. . .

I noticed I had a visit today by someone searching for the keyword: Karla Leathers. Seeing that this visit was from an American Airlines ISP I’m assuming my dear friend Brandon has found me or perhaps it’s even Karla herself. Always a bit weird when an old friend finds your blog. Sometimes I forget that people are out there can actually access my random writing. I searched my blog and found only a brief mention of my dear friend. So to rectify the issue I’m dedicating this post to her.

Brandon and Karla were youth pastors at our church about . . .hmmm what has it been now. . .maybe 4 years ago? Anyway they left our small town and headed to the big city. We see them rarely but think of them often. You know how it goes, life happens and you lose touch. They are two special friends that we love very much. Perhaps I should call once and a while. Untill then I leave this post, on the off chance which ever one visited returns.

We love you and miss you.

A year ago today Felicity turned 3yrs old. She also embarked on a new adventure. Her mommy, daddy, and big brother Aarron loaded all their belongings in their Saturn and a rented U-Haul and headed for Arkansas.

Oh how we miss the Rubios. . .such precious friends you would be blessed to meet.

Here’s a few pics of our kids and theirs:
Our visit in August and
Aarron and Charleigh’s Marriage I wish I had some more.

Happy Birthday Felicity

Remember when I shared with you about Joshua’s dancing on the mini van? Well. . .that wasn’t an isolated experience. He’s done it more than once and each time his dance is accompanied by a little song that goes like this: “duby duby duby”. Justly punished for each offence it seemed the dance is worth the consequences; so much so that I’ve caught him doing it 5 times now. I never questioned what his van dancing inspiration was, I merely assumed it came from somewhere deep within his Joshuaness.

Then I saw the Bobby Duby commercial. This upbeat commercial features not only an amusing jingle but also a few shots of a
little Benton Duby (pictured to the left) dancing atop one of their lovely cars. I yelled at KurtBobby Duby sold it to him!” He looked up at the TV and caught the last clip of this little boy dancing on top of the vehicle.

There we sat still staring at the television in disbelief when Joshua danced through room, shaking his body and singing “duby duby o me“.

Bobby Duby sold it to me. . .

I’ve got a lot of good stuff in the back of my head just waiting to be blogged:

A delicious eggplant recipe, which received, raved reviews from the little people. One notable comment came from Kaleb-

“This is the best food ever eaten in the history of our family”

    Professional Housewife

    Charleigh’s trip to Amarillo.

    Isaiah (finished reading it)

I was tagged a long time ago, I really need to do something about that.

and yes still waiting on “God doesn’t play whack a mole” someday I’ll write it. . .you’ll see. . .someday

Many a blogworthy event going on. One such happening (perhaps not as blogworthy as I would like to think) is that my kitchen was clean on Saturday. It lasted a good 30 minutes till we had supper then it once again became my personal chagrin. Even so that mere 30 minutes was half an hour of triumph and joy.

Any who: the posts may be sparse as I catch up on real life. Perhaps I could audio blog, that would be fun, except that I hate the sound of my voice. How about you guys (oops sorry for the vernacular, round here that means y’all) any way how about you? Do you have issues with listening to recordings of your voice? I can’t stand it and that is precisely why if you call my house you will hear the precious voice of Charleigh on the answering machine.

    Good Night.

Don’t have to “show me the way to Amarillo” we’ve been going so much lateley I think I’ve got it figured out. Charleigh has another doctor appointment this morning. Two weeks ago she went for her “two week” follow up to check that her ears were healing from her surgery. Her left ear wasn’t healing properly so we were instructed to take more medicine and to return again today. Please pray that her ear is better today. We have to get clearance from the “doc” before we can go for more hearing tests. More tests means more trips to Amarillo.

You know Amarillo didn’t used to be so far away. Maybe I’m getting older or perhaps its the gas prices. But hey, we get to see Nae and that is always worth a trip!

Oscar’s mom let him walk home from school all by himself. . .
Oscar’s mom puts fun stuff in his lunch at school. . .
Oscar’s mom “probably” lets him go to the grocery store all by himself. . .
Oscar’s mom lets him play at the park for as long as he wants everyday. . .
