Once upon a time there were lots of happy people in a big town. One rainy, sprinkling day there was a big rainbow outside. Everybody in the whole town went outside and sat on their porch to look at the rainbow. It was summer, summer was almost over. There were only two more days before the kids would go to school. Everybody was happy all that day. The kids were happy that Sunday would be here soon and that school would start. The grown ups were happy because they saw the beautiful rainbow. After the rainbow disappeared everybody said “Huh?!” Then they all went inside and the kids drew a picture of the rainbow for their teacher. They drew them and their teacher standing under the rainbow. Then they put the pictures under their pillow and dreamed about the first day of school. It was a good day.

I am pretty sure the parents weren’t as happy about the rainbow as they were about the kids going back to school.
