Over a year ago I told you all about the “Go Red” campaign. Last time I sent you to sign up and get one of their cute little red dress pins. This time I’m sending you to check out their Love your Heart campaign.

This is serious ladies, heart disease is the number one killer of women and FYI:

If your total cholesterol level is 240 or more, it’s definitely high. Your risk of heart attack and stroke is greater. In general, people who have a total cholesterol level of 240 mg/dL have twice the risk of coronary heart disease as people whose cholesterol level is 200 mg/dL.

Here are a few helpful links for any “certain” person who may have found herself with high cholesterol:

Dear Jami,

Today, I ask you to pray for Ranjan Vengua.

Ranjan Vengua is one of our students at Orissa Bible Training Center.
This last weekend, he went home to visit his Hindu family. His village’s
local chapter of the RSS, the radical Hindu organization, received information
that he was coming, probably from family members. When he arrived in the
village, they forcibly took him to a Hindu temple where they manhandled
him, shaved his head and forced him to bow before idols in a public setting.
They forced him to undergo other rituals to forsake Christianity and re-convert
to Hinduism.

Hi, Hello, Aloha, Hola, Bon jour, G’day, Howdy, Shalom, Hey.

How do you greet a person you meet on the street? What word leaves your lips when you nod your head in recognition? Through out the world there are many different greetings. Some carry deep meaning and bestow blessing upon the receipient and others just say “I see you”. What’s in a greeting and what does it say about the culture that adopts it?
