pancakes and grape juice

This morning Joshua turned breakfast into communion.

“Thank you Jesus that you got broken for me. Thank you Jesus that you got died for me. Thank you God that I’m your kid. I promise to always be your kid.” -Joshua

I watched through the door as he tore his pancake into pieces and said this prayer with each bite he dipped into his Welches grape juice. When he looked up and saw me peeking he said, “See Mom, the juice makes me remember”.

I’m in tears! God, help me to remember You with every bite!
