To any newcomers I implore you, please pay no attention to the shallow posts that have made appearance in recent history. I assure you if you dig deep you will find much more hearty posts than the recent weight related ones. While I make no claim of literary grandeur this blog most certainly has had it’s better days.

Oh, but you love me anyway. Don’t you?

I saw my dear friend Robin Groen at Mazzios in Dalhart Sunday.
She let me know she’s been reading my blog and also reminded me I haven’t been posting in a while. That’s not all she reminded me of either. While I filled my plate with pizza she walked past and reminded me of my 6 pounds I’m trying to lose. Thanks Robin.

Speaking of said six pounds if you check the ticker today you’ll notice it’s now 7.6 lbs I’ve got to get rid of. No, I haven’t been doing to good. I’ll do better today I promise.

I’ve been posting in the comments everything I’ve been eating each day, it’s not too inspirational. Here’s an excerpt of Sunday’s comments:

Ok, lets see. Sunday…what did I eat? What didn’t I eat? Speaking of that doesn’t it count? I mean what I didn’t eat doesn’t that count?

For breakfast
I did eat a low fat string cheese stick. I didn’t eat a donut at church.
In between services I found 3 little kids eating Oreos in the hall. I didn’t take their Oreos and I didn’t ask where they got them. I just turned my head and pretended I did see them.

For lunch
I did eat a salad and 3 pieces of pizza at Mazzios
I didn’t eat 5 pieces and I didn’t have chocolate chip desert pizza

At Hope’s Baby shower
I didn’t eat any of the various cakes available and I didn’t drink the punch.
I did have water.

For Supper I did eat 3 tacos from taco bell
I didn’t enjoy them
I did have a diet pepsi

That night I did eat two little pieces of chocolate, I didn’t eat all of it.

I did eat something else but I don’t remember what it was.

I didn’t post Monday’s meals, I started out so good, it seems it’s around evening that I start messing everything up. Except for today I blew it before 7Am. I ate 3 lovely bacon quiche tarts. Yum! So here it is 8:38 Am I’ve already stuffed my self should I count the day a loss and continue to indulge myself for the rest of the day? No. I’ll start over again right now. Perhaps I’ll even exercise, did you notice the exercise ticker is showing absolutely no progress at all?

Wait a minute, this is a post for Robin not for diet discussion.

So, since we are speaking of Robin, I’ll tell you a little about her. She’s quite a wonderful woman! Strong, compassionate and hardworking; she has tenacity and heart. One thing I love about Robin is that you always know where she stands. She’s genuine and bold. She also has a servants heart, she sees what needs done and does it. She gets it organized and finished before most people realize it ever needed done. She doesn’t always have to be the star in the show but most often the show couldn’t go on with out her. Caring, responsible and trustworthy, that’s just a sliver of who she is, how I see her anyway. Thanks Robin. I love you.
