The parties are coming, the parties are coming! It’s the time of year we start thinking about what food to take to all the fun festivities.
If your short on time and short on ideas here’s a simple crowd pleaser. Traditionally known as a “crab ball” in my family, I’m thinking we should come up with a new name. . .how about a
Simply Satisfying Creamy Crab Ball
8oz Cream Cheese softened
6oz Crab meat (or imitation if you please)
3 tops of 3 scallions (green onions if you’re from these parts)
a pinch or two of Garlic powder
cocktail sauce
Thinly slice scallion tops (saving the white oniony part for another dish)
Chop crab meat
Mix first four ingredients together and form into a ball (plastic wrap makes this an easy task)
Chill (this step could mean two things, 1. refrigerate the crab ball or 2. kick back and enjoy a cup of joe, the hard part is over.
When ready to serve pour cocktail sauce over crab ball (first removing plastic wrap)
Serve with your favorite crackers. (Or your husbands favorite, honestly it doesn’t matter what you put it on, the people will eat it and love it)
