I am really considering getting this book for Kaleb’s 10th birthday. Have any of you seen or read it?

243585: The Dangerous Book for Boys The Dangerous Book for Boys
By Conn Iggulden & Hal Iggulden / Collins

The bestselling book for every boy from eight to eighty, covering essential boyhood skills such as building tree houses, learning how to fish, finding true north, and even answering the age old question of what the big deal with girls is.

In this digital age there is still a place for knots, skimming stones and stories of incredible courage. This book recaptures Sunday afternoons, stimulates curiosity, and makes for great father-son activities. The brothers Conn and Hal have put together a wonderful collection of all things that make being young or young at heart fun—building go-carts and electromagnets, identifying insects and spiders, and flying the world’s best paper airplanes.

The completely revised American Edition includes:

  1. Jami, I have seen this book, along with its partner for girls. I was impressed. I didn’t read them in their entirety, but I thought they were well put together. They did answer a lot of questions that young boys and girls might have. I actually was surprised by the contents. I didn’t expect it to be about everyday things. I would look through it if you can, though. I do know that the one for girls has chapters on palm reading, ghost stories, and yoga.

  2. Very good to know, perhaps I’ll check it out at B&N before I order it.
    Thanks Nicole

  3. You can look at the table of contents at Amazon.

  4. Jami,
I bought this book for Barry for his birthday. hehe
He loved it! Amazingly enough, so did everyone else in the house. We almost had to make a reading schedule. It’s so fun! It has everything from Latin phrases that everyone should know to knot tying!
