Today is the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade

My husbands birthday is May 25th. He too will be 35.

Today I give thanks that he was adopted and not aborted.

I thank his unknown biological mother and I thank his mom, Judy.

35 years ago they both chose him.

I love all my sister’s friends. Since we married, moved out and moved on. Amy and my lives have went in separate ways. Even through the distance I have somehow been connected to her friends. I remember when she started attending Evangel one of her new friends got my number off her fridge and started calling me for advice on boys. I don’t recall who she was now but I remember our only connection was Amy. I’m not sure if we ever even met in person.

Today, I can count a number of friends I’ve met only once or twice but could sit down and have conversation with as if we’d know each other for years. When I went to visit Amy last year I ran into quite a few of these ladies. Most I didn’t recognize at first as I’d never seen their faces or heard their voices, it seems strange to know someone with out really knowing them. Odd, isn’t it? Maybe not, these ladies are souls who touch my twin sister’s heart, a heart I’ve known from the beginning of mine own. It only makes since we’d be connected. I appreciate each one, I pray for them daily and I am blessed to have such lovely women caring for my Amy. To all my sister’s friends; I love you and thank you.

Here’s a few shots of Charleigh’s baptism. (Notice her daddy is the one who did it) I really wish I’d have paid more attention to getting a good picture, I was too busy being wearing my “proud mommy” hat to put on my shutterbug one.

Here’s a pic of Joshua and his B-day Cake. (He decorated it) This is another example of a great day but no great pictures to show for it. . .


Joshua had an awesome birthday party! It was a “rock and roll” party. Some great friends of ours on the worship team at church came and rocked the place out for him. We got him a guitar and he was estatic to get to play with the band on stage with a huge audience. That night before he went to sleep he told me “In all my dreams I never dreamed a day could be as good as this”.

On October 5th Charleigh and her birthday buddy Kali turned 8. We had a mommy/daughter sleep over and the girls had a great time.

Every time Amy comes for a visit it’s a special ocassion. Here’s a picture of the two of us from this summer:

The cousins had a grand time at their “Summer Party” at the park. Papa Jack bought them all fried chicken and Grandma Conda make a beautiful Summer Cake complete with green grass, blue sky, yellow sun, white clouds and a ton of flowers. The perfect menu if you ask Jeremiah.

Welcome to the world precious little girl!

Liberty Ann was born to my dear cousin Christopher and his lovely wife Hope on Friday, March 16th at 11:05 PM.
“Libby” weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long. Hope and baby look great; so do Daddy and Big Brother Justin.
