I’ve been thinking of getting this for over a year now. You see each morning precisely at 6:30 I set a steaming cup of Joe on my dear hubby’s bedside table. I think it would be quite endearing to write a different little message of appreciation on his java each day before he heads off to work. Joshua’s newest favorite: Monk and Neagle. We went to their concert last night and the kids loved them! Mom, Dad and Aunt Julie were pretty fond of them as well. At one point in the concert I leaned down and asked Joshua what he thought of their music. He told me they were great but could I please not ask him anymore questions till after the concert ’cause he was trying to pay attention to the awesome guys on stage. After the “show” Joshua had them sign his CD then talked to them for a minute and told them how he was going to be a rock star/beatboxer/zoo keeper when he grew up. He suddenly became shy when it was picture time and he’s regretting that this morning.

We got “The Twenty-First Time” and now that we’ve listened to it I wish we’d gotten the other one as well. We love “Beautiful You” and Julie and I bawled last night as they sang “What Soldiers Do” I just checked Christianbook and both CD’s are available. I have to admit. Last year when Kurt bought Inspired By… The Bible Experience: New Testament on CD the first thought that came to my mind was: “Come on! How many Audio Bibles does a person need anyway!?!” Then I heard it and then I watched as the kids heard it. I was sold. This is the best audio Bible I’ve heard. The children were immediately taken in each time we turned it on and a year later still are. Charleigh even has the book of John on her MP3 Player. We liked it so much we gave it a couple times for Christmas and Birthday gifts last year and we’ve used it quite a few times in our “Grace Group”. The Old Testament has now recently been released as well. There are now many available options; you can also now get the both testaments combined either in MP3 format or on CD. Another great feature I thought might come in pretty handy for some is the download availability; you can download a single chapter.

It’s whats playing at our house this month. At last we break from High School Musical and Hannah Montana CD. We’ve discovered Pure NRG! The five year old and eight year old love them! The nine year old doesn’t mind them and the mom welcomes a fresh new Christian alternative.
Hey, this looks like the “Start of Something New” perhaps we’ve finally got “The Best of Both Worlds”.
